On November 29, 2021, Educational and scientific institute of energy saving and energy management hosted a solemn presentation of the Diploma of Doctor of Philosophy to the first foreigner – a graduate of the third scientific and educational level of higher education Shukurov Azar Medzhid ogly. Sergii Denysiuk, Director of ES IEE, Anatolii Han, First Deputy Director for Educational and Methodological Work, representatives of the Geoengineering Department took part in the solemn awarding ceremony: Oksana Vovk, Head of Department, Professors of department: Viktor Kravets, Natalia Zuievska, Hennadii Haiko; Associate professors of department: Victoria Vapnichna, Stanislav Stovpnyk, as well as Deputy manager of international work of Geoengineering Department Olena Han.
Azar Shukurov prepared a dissertation at the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute on the topic: “Improvement of technological parameters of mass explosion in the conditions of mining in mountain slopes”. The scientific supervisor was Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Viktor Kravets. The specialized Scientific Council of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute conferred the Doctor of Philosophy Degree Field of study Manufacturing and technology, Programme Subject Area Mining which decision entered into force as of June 29, 2021.
Improving the quality of staff through postgraduate and doctoral studies is one of the priority tasks of both the Geoengineering Department and the University as a whole. And as a result – the defense of the dissertation and the Doctor of Philosophy Degree – an important event in the scientific life of the University!
