PhD thesis “Study of deformations of the soil massif in the zone of action of an extended charge explosion”. Defended in 1971 at a meeting of the Specialised Academic Council of the Kryvyi Rih Mining Institute, speciality No. 312 – open-pit mining and operation of coal, ore and non-metallic deposits
The topic of the doctoral dissertation “Processes and technologies of formation of physical and technical properties of sandy-clay rocks by explosion. . He defended in 1985 at a meeting of the specialized scientific council D 003.20.01 in the specialty 05.15.11 – physical processes of mining.
Research interests:
– geomechanical processes, geodynamic phenomena;
– rock fracture;
– stress-strain state of the system “soil-base-structure.
– underground urbanism;
Biography. Born on 09 October 1937, Konakovo.
Education: higher education.
Graduated from the National Technical University of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” in 1959, mining engineer.
In 1960-1964, he worked at the UkrNDI-Project Institute of the State Planning Committee of the USSR, and from 1965 to 1968, he studied at the postgraduate course of the National Academy of Sciences of the USSR. From 1968 to 1989, he worked in the system of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine as an associate engineer, junior researcher, senior researcher, and head of the department. Since 1989, he has been an employee of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” as a professor of the Department of Mining Technology and Mechanisation. From 1994 to 2017 – Head of the Department of Geotechnology, now the Department of Geoengineering. Since 2017 – Professor of the Department of Geoengineering.
Laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine in Science and Technology in 1991. Honoured Professor of NTUU “KPI”
Scientific and pedagogical activity:
– from 1989 to 1993 – Professor of Technology and Mechanization of Mining Faculty of Mining and Technical Faculty “KPI”;
– from 1993 to 2017 – Head of the Department of Geobuilding and Mining Technologies NTUU “KPI”;
– since 2017 to this day – Professor of Geoengineering, National Technical University of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute named after Igor Sikorsky”
